Happy Primary Day California!! I hope all of you who are 18+ got out and cast your vote today. I have to admit that today was the first time in my entire adult life that i exercised my right to vote. AND IT FELT GOOD! This election feels especially exciting and I am definitely on team Bernie! Bernie Sanders is the true people's candidate (giving the term a new meaning really) and how can you NOT trust a man who has literally been fighting for civil rights since the 1960s. The results will be announced the next hour or two. Regardless of the winner- I think it is safe to say that even if Bernie Sanders doesn't win the Democratic nominee- he has absolutely helped Hillary Clinton shape her platform- he has made her a better candidate!
I'm not really one to talk politics but I did feel pretty awesome getting to participate in something as meaningful as choosing the potential executive leader of my country. My polling place was a local Veterans Hall and the entire thing was run by the sweetest elderly ladies.
The Presidential Election is set for Nov 8th, 2016 and I'll be excited to get back out there for the final vote! I hope you will too! Happy Voting!
